Celebrate the special relationship between Daddy and child, and we'll plant a sapling on behalf of your family at our tree planting site in North Devon.
Tips on writing the story
Read the story so you can see how your answers fit in the sentence
The story is rhyming and written on behalf of the child. Unfortunately the book can only be written from one child. If they have siblings, include them in the "who they live with" section
The title will change according to who the book is for - Daddy, Papa, Dad etc.
Only use capitals where they are needed eg: proper names.
We read each book and will amend tenses etc, but will not amend your spelling or the content of your answer.
On the inside front cover we print a personalised message so they can treasure the book as a keepsake in years to come e.g., "Happy Father's Day 2021 - love from Jonah".
When I was a baby you planted a tree, a tiny green sapling grown just for me. A symbol of love for me to know, you’ll be by my side and help me grow.
A sweet little (boy or girl) I brought joy and cheer, welcomed into your world (birth year e.g. 2020) was the year.
I was born in (month e.g. July) so new and so small, you named me (baby’s name e.g. George), it’s the best name of all!
(Address e.g. 15 Verwood Street) my first family home, with (who child lives with e.g.Mummy and Daddy) I was never alone.
I lay on the grass under the sun, or crawled round our home looking for fun.
You taught me to smile with your special tickles, you showed me that life can be laughter and giggles.
I’ll cherish forever every word that you spoke, all the help and advice and the odd silly joke.
You fed me (food e.g. milk) my first favourite food, and with a messy grin I chomped and I chewed.
As I’ve got bigger there’s new things to eat, exciting new foods and even some treats.
As I learned to walk I needed you near, and you cheered me on so I knew no fear!
You comforted me whenever I fell, your cuddles fixed me with their special spell.
As I’ve grown older you’ve shown me new things, like how to talk and the fun that it brings.
You’ve shown me the world, through your happy eyes, from the roots in the ground to the leaves in the sky.
You love (hobby e.g. playing football), I want to learn too, so that when I grow big I can be just like you.
We go on our trips, have adventures together, we laugh and we giggle whatever the weather.
I love when you give me a hug and kiss, and hold me so close, it’s all that I wish.
And when evening comes you tuck me up tight, to help me sleep well all through the night.
As seasons change, and blossom comes out, our family will flourish, with that I’ve no doubt.
My tree will grow bigger, strong and tall, just like me, we’ll be able to share it with our whole family.
We both love each other and I don’t mean to boast, you love me lots but I love you the most.

Lovely printed book but it would have been good if it asked what milestones a baby has met as half the book assumes my 9 month old can do those things. Or if there where pictures or the text somewhere to be seen before purchase I could have maybe decided to go for another similar book.
I was really impressed with this book when it arrived. I loved the fact that there were so many statements that I could personalise within the story about my own little girl, making it a special first Father's Day gift for my husband. He will also appreciate that a tree has been planted in our name and it would be nice if we could visit that area one day as a family. The discount on the book was an added bonus!
We loved the idea of having a tree planted for our little one. The book is cute, though some of the tale is a little off due to the nature of it needing to fit many.
Will def look into the other stories for the coming years
Really pleased with the book it’s going to make a great Christmas present!
