What’s new?!

Well hasn’t Wendy been busy….there are quite a few new products we have to show you, where shall I start?!! The illustrations – which have digressed a little from the house portraits and pets – and to add to these we will now be drawing your ‘favourite hobby‘ and ‘favourite toy‘ – soooo cute.

The house portraits have moved on too:

This is Wendy’s 1ST EVER house portrait – aged 6…must’ve been some sort of sign of what was to follow? Above is our first order for the new product – ‘embroidered house portrait‘, great job Han!Also we have the ‘pencil sketch portrait‘….keeping it nice and simple.

Now for our new art prints – using Wendy’s chosen fonts, the typeface forms an image (seen before with the ‘personalised heart prints‘) – we have introduced a variety of shapes. The ‘personalised gardener’s print‘ and the ‘personalised kitchen print‘ including a watering can, teapot, butterfly and a flower, all perfect for mother’s day, father’s day, Easter gifts and birthdays for all the family – grandma, grandad, aunty, uncle, mum and dad.

Always struggling for something to buy your brother, boyfriend or husband – well I’m pretty sure they all have one thing in common and that’s ‘football‘. The ‘personalised football print‘ is a great option for all those football fans out there, personalise it with their favourite team/players or lucky number.

Moving on to something completely different, ‘personalised Kindle covers‘. They protect the screen when not in use and easy to find with the bright colour book design – and you definitely can’t mistake it for someone else’s – as it has your name on.

Continuing the same theme with books. We have designed some lovely ‘engraved initial bookends‘.

Mothers Day Selection

Its about the same time every year, and yet I always get caught out with a last minute run to the florists the day before Mothering Sunday. This year its Sunday March 18th, and we have plenty of gifts that can be personalised for Mum – so no excuse! My favourites are our engraved pebbles – just get one pebble or a stone for each member of the family.

Favourite places

On our Favourite Place Portrait you get to send us a photo that means something to you and we’ll create a unique art print from it. Maybe its from your honeymoon or first date, a family holiday or treasured memory. And from our customer emails there’s one place that seems to be a special for lots of you – and that is Venice. This romantic location is a popular destination, but remember each print is drawn by hand so we can draw any view you want… perhaps where he popped that important question, or your favourite restaurant. Here’s a selection of some of those Venice views.

Christmas is coming…

We just got the new Christmas NotOnTheHighStreet.com catalog in the post!

It’s sent out to NOTHS partners a couple of days early I guess just to remind them to cancel any social engagements they might have for the next 6-7 weeks ;)

We are featured in the center with a nice right hand page showing off some of the illustrations we offer.

You can also see some lovely ideas in it from our co-partners. We especially liked the christmas boxes on the inside front page and the fun pillows for kids toward the back.

And even before this has gone out we are getting busy…gulp! Will keep you posted on how we get on. Oh and just in case you didn’t get one – we also have a discount code running for loyal customers. 10% off for early bird shoppers – just enter XMAS11 in the ‘Shopping’ area of the Letterfest shop before you ‘Checkout’ and you’ll save £££ on your Christmas shopping.

Quack Quack

It was another glorious day in North Devon as Wendy and Bob went for their morning stroll on the beach with Travis (the dog), when they stumbled across something a little different that day….a man walking a duck!

Remembering something recently on the news about a man and his duck who followed him everywhere, i looked it up on the ‘world wide web’ and found an article on local man Mr Barrie Hayman and his lovely duck ‘Star’.  After being “shunned by his feathered family when he was just days old”, Mr Hayman has become his adopted father with Star following him everywhere he goes…even the pub.
